Specific Material Description

POM C is an unfilled polyacetal copolymer that offers an excellent balance between mechanical properties, dimension stability, wear resistance and machining capabilities.
Due to its good chemical resistance to lubricants, oils, … and its favorable sliding properties, this material is often used for engineering parts. With respect to polyacetal homopolymer, POM C has a higher hydrolysis resistance, chemical resistance and maximum allowed continous service temperature in air. This latter temperature is 100 °C with the option of short term temperature peaks up to 140 °C. The useful temperature range for mechanically loaded applications tends to 105 °C.
