PTFE is an unfilled polytetrafluoroethylene with an exceptional chemical resistance, a high temperature resistance and an extremely low coefficient of friction. The unfilled
material has a higher tensile strength and toughness than the filled PTFE types.
The maximum allowed continuous service temperature in air is 260 °C.
