3M™ VHB™ Tape 4991 is a grey, multipurpose tape with a deformable foam core (thickness: 2,3mm) and acrylic adhesive. The tape delivers strength under difficult circumstances, in particular on surfaces with high to medium surface energy.

The 3M™ VHB™ Tape serves as an alternative for mechanical fasteners (rivets, welds, screws) or liquid adhesives; it eliminates the need for drilling, grinding, refinishing, screwing, welding and associated clean-up. The material creates a permanent seal against water, moisture and more, llows the use of thinner, lighter weight. Thanks to the visco-elasticity this tape offers a wide range of design possibilities on several surfaces. 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4991 has good resistance against plasticisers.
